RN for the Nurse Home Visiting/Bridging Program

Downeast Community Partners is hiring for our Nurse Home Visiting/Bridging Program in Washington County.  This position could be either part-time or full-time (up to 32 hours/wk). Responsibilities include direct work with mothers experiencing a high-risk, medically complicated pregnancy and infants born with medical complications, along with well-child assessment and outreach throughout Washington County.  You will plan, develop and coordinate client care with hospitals, medical providers, and social service agencies in order to ensure necessary services are delivered; observe the family environment, offer support and encouragement, identify potential issues, educate families on safety and risks, and contact appropriate resources and agencies in order to respond to family and client needs.  Varied work hours are occasionally necessary, including weekends and evenings when a client crisis requires intervention. Travel outside Washington County is sometimes necessary.  You will keep up-to-date administrative records.  Prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric experience required. The successful candidate will be self-motived, possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and have excellent time management skills.  A strong desire to help families, meet them where they're at, and assist in barrier removal is a must.  The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Active RN license required (BSN preferred), Community Health, Nurse Bridging and Management experience is a plus.


Downeast Community Partners is hiring for the full-time position of Resource Advocate.  This person will work with individuals and families who are economically vulnerable to provide assistance and support in managing the challenges they are experiencing.  The position will include both short-term assistance with immediate needs as well as ongoing work with the overall goal to help people improve their quality of life and ultimately move out of poverty.  This will mean working on smaller goals in many different areas of life depending on the needs.

The successful candidate will have a 4 year degree in Social Work or a related field, be willing to travel throughout Hancock County, and demonstrate the skills necessary to help participants be successful.

Friendship Cottage is an Adult Day Program in Blue Hill, Maine. DCP is seeking to enlarge their Per Diem pool for CNA/CRMA.

The CNA/CRMA is responsible for the direct care of consumers receiving services. The position will be responsible for participating in the provision of a safe and secure environment and personal care assistance.

Qualifications:  Applicants for CNA/CRMA must be currently licensed. Prior nursing/assisted living facility experience preferred.  Must be able to work Saturdays on occasion, willing to transport consumers, have clean driving record, reliable transportation, and pass criminal background check.


We are seeking part-time drivers for Hancock and Washington counties. We provide transportation to low-income, elderly, as well as the general public. Our vehicles are easy to operate and require no special license, just a good driving record and a desire to provide safe and pleasant transportation to the people we serve. Flexible schedules available.

 Candidate must have clean driving record, pass criminal and child protective background checks, meet drug and alcohol testing requirements, and not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.


Flaherty Early Care and Education Center

Responsible to assist the Center Coordinator to plan and implement the early childhood education program for preschool children and their families in accordance with Agency and Head Start Performance Standards. Supervises two other teachers, substitutes and volunteers. 40 hours per week year round.

Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with coursework equivalent to an AA ECE and two years' experience working with preschool- age children required. Supervisory experience in a preschool setting preferred.


Infant/Toddler Caregiver for the St. Croix Early Care & Education Program, located on the campus of Washington County Community College.

Infant/Toddler Caregiver for the Flaherty Early Care & Education Program, located on the campus of the University of Maine Machias.

Infant/Toddler Caregiver for the Ellsworth Early Care & Education Program, located at 18 Avery Lane Ellsworth (Two positions) 

This is a full-time year round position. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing meaningful relationships with parents and their young children that will enhance the bond between parent and child. Also responsible to plan and implement, in partnership with families, a responsive curriculum and classroom environment that promotes optimal growth and development of infants and toddlers in a full-day, full-year program. 

Education and Experience:  At a minimum, an Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) or comparable credential.  Must have experience working with infants/toddlers in a classroom environment and strong organization and communication skills.



The Ellsworth Early Care and Education Center is seeking an assistant teacher.  The position will be located at 18 Avery Lane.  The position is 40 hours per week during the year-round.  Responsible to assist the Preschool Teacher to plan and implement an early childhood education program for children in accordance with agency practices, policies and procedures. Responsible for promoting school readiness, parent engagement and ensuring the health and safety of children.

An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is preferred. Completion of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within two years of hire is required without an Associate's degree.  DCP offers competitive pay plus a generous benefit package.
