Downeast Community Partners has the following openings:

Human Resource Director

The HR Director will report directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for all personnel systems including training, recruitment/retention, compensation, employee safety, workers compensation, and benefits for an organization with nearly 200 full and part time employees.The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in HR or management and a four-year degree in an appropriate discipline although other combinations of education and experience will be considered.

PER DIEM CNA/CRMA

Friendship Cottage is an Adult Day Program in Blue Hill, Maine. DCP is seeking to enlarge their Per Diem pool for CNA/CRMA.

The CNA/CRMA is responsible for the direct care of consumers receiving services. The position will be responsible for participating in the provision of a safe and secure environment and personal care assistance.

Qualifications:  Applicants for CNA/CRMA must be currently licensed. Prior nursing/assisted living facility experience preferred.  Must be able to work Saturdays on occasion, willing to transport consumers, have clean driving record, reliable transportation, and pass criminal background check.

PART TIME DRIVERS

We are seeking part-time drivers for Hancock and Washington counties. We provide transportation to low-income, elderly, as well as the general public. Our vehicles are easy to operate and require no special license, just a good driving record and a desire to provide safe and pleasant transportation to the people we serve. Flexible schedules available.

 Candidate must have clean driving record, pass criminal and child protective background checks, meet drug and alcohol testing requirements, and not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.

LEAD PRESCHOOL TEACHER

Flaherty Early Care and Education Center

Responsible to assist the Center Coordinator to plan and implement the early childhood education program for preschool children and their families in accordance with Agency and Head Start Performance Standards. Supervises two other teachers, substitutes and volunteers. 40 hours per week year round.

Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with coursework equivalent to an AA ECE and two years' experience working with preschool- age children required. Supervisory experience in a preschool setting preferred.

INFANT/TODDLER CAREGIVER (Four positions)

Infant/Toddler Caregiver for the St. Croix Early Care & Education Program, located on the campus of Washington County Community College.

Infant/Toddler Caregiver for the Flaherty Early Care & Education Program, located on the campus of the University of Maine Machias.

Infant/Toddler Caregiver for the Ellsworth Early Care & Education Program, located at 18 Avery Lane Ellsworth (Two positions) 

This is a full-time year round position. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing meaningful relationships with parents and their young children that will enhance the bond between parent and child. Also responsible to plan and implement, in partnership with families, a responsive curriculum and classroom environment that promotes optimal growth and development of infants and toddlers in a full-day, full-year program. 

Education and Experience:  At a minimum, an Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) or comparable credential.  Must have experience working with infants/toddlers in a classroom environment and strong organization and communication skills.

ASSISTANT TEACHER

Ellsworth

The Ellsworth Early Care and Education Center is seeking an assistant teacher.  The position will be located at 18 Avery Lane.  The position is 40 hours per week during the year-round.  Responsible to assist the Preschool Teacher to plan and implement an early childhood education program for children in accordance with agency practices, policies and procedures. Responsible for promoting school readiness, parent engagement and ensuring the health and safety of children.

An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is preferred. Completion of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within two years of hire is required without an Associate's degree.  DCP offers competitive pay plus a generous benefit package.

Ellsworth

Excellent career opportunity for those desiring to promote the growth and development of young children in a center based program. Successful candidate will be responsible for design and implementation of a program in a center-based classroom for 3-5 year-old children in conjunction with other center staff. Year round, 40 hours per week.  Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 2 years' experience working with young children required.
