Available Services and Information

Transportation to Medical Appointments

On June 30, 2014, the contract between Maine Department of Health and Human Services and Coordinated Transportations Solutions (CTS) will expire.  It is expected that a new contract will be entered into with Logisticare, to provide the same service for MaineCare recipients.

At this time it is our understanding that the procedure and telephone numbers below will still be in effect following this change. You do not have to do anything differently after July 1, 2014.

If we learn anything contrary to this, we will post that information here.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN PROCEDURE TO ARRANGE RIDES

Starting August 1, 2013, MaineCare transportation changes to a broker system of transportation service.  Transportation assistance for MaineCare covered reimbursement and rides is available, but must be arranged through the broker service by calling 1-855-388-1069. This includes self-driver friends and family reimbursement.

WHCA will be contracting with the broker to provide rides, but we will no longer be able to book your trip for you.

You may begin calling the broker at 1-855-388-1069 on July 22, 2013 to book trips which will occur on August 1, 2013 and later.

Requirements: This service is for MaineCare recipients.
