Hancock County Interview and Resume Boot Camp

This is an opportunity for people that are unemployed to get the skills they need to help them land a job. Did you know there are certain key words that should be in an online job application to ensure it won't be tossed out by a computer before a real, live person ever sees it? Participants in this February 21st event will explore the basics of resume writing, job search, applications and interviews. This workshop provides valuable tips on resume content and formatting.  Participants will also learn how to present themselves in a positive way by marketing towards the employer's needs. "Tough" interview questions will be discussed so participants can answer them with confidence. The workshop is being held on February 21st from 8:30am to 3:00pm at the Hancock County Higher Education Center at the Mill Mall in Ellsworth. The Tri County CareerCenter, The Hancock County Higher Education Center and the Washington Hancock Community Agency are sponsoring this free "Boot Camp."  A light lunch will be provided. CareerCenter representatives will be available at the end of the day to assist participants with Maine Job Bank registration. Anyone interested in attending should register online at www.rsu24.maineadulted.org or by calling 667-6499 by February 19th. More information about the sessions being covered is available by calling presenters Sue Leighton at 561-4038 or Mary DeLisle at 561-4081.
