Transportation Volunteer Coordinator

WHCA is seeking to hire a volunteer coordinator to grow and expand transportation services with a focus on Washington County. Examples of work include recruiting volunteers, developing a volunteer retention program, publicizing the program and working to make the program sustainable in the long term. Qualifications include familiarity with the people and geography of Washington County, ability to be organized and work with minimal supervision, and a passion for helping people. Starting pay is $12/hour with full benefits including health insurance, disability, retirement and paid time off. Work schedule and office location are flexible. Occasional travel to Ellsworth will be required. Interested candidates should send a resume with application. A review of applications will begin on 12/19/16.


We are looking for a person who will work with individuals and families who are economically vulnerable to provide assistance and support in managing the challenges they are experiencing.  The successful candidate will have a four-year degree in Social Work or related field, be willing to travel throughout Hancock and Washington counties, and demonstrate the skills necessary to help participants be successful.


We are seeking part-time drivers for Hancock and Washington counties. We provide transportation to low income, elderly and disadvantaged citizens as well as the general public. Our vehicles are easy to operate and require no special license, just a good driving record and a desire to provide safe and pleasant transportation to the people we serve. Flexible schedules available.

 Candidate must have clean driving record, pass criminal background check, and not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
