Housing Administrative Assistant
WHCA is seeking a full-time Housing Administrative Assistant to join its operations. Responsibilities include support coordination of services to clients; administrative support; information management; data management; and clerical functions for the Housing Division. Position is full-time located in Ellsworth.
Qualifications: Detail oriented multi-tasker; ability to accurately enter data; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; proficient in current Microsoft Office programs; excellent organizational skills. Candidate must have clean driving record, pass criminal background check, and not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
WHCA is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join its operations in Ellsworth. Primary duties will include oversight of the payroll and accounts payable functions of the organization, accurate recording of monthly and year end fiscal transactions, and maintenance of general ledger accounts. Duties will also include assisting the Director of Finance with monthly internal and external reporting, contract management, and the annual audit process.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently, show initiative, be able to prioritize tasks in order to meet multiple deadlines, and have strong leadership qualities. Strong knowledge of computerized accounting, spreadsheets, and word processing is preferred. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least 3 years accounting experience. Comparable education and experience may be considered for the right candidate. Per our varied contracts, WHCA requires clean background checks through the State Bureau of Investigation, and a clean driving record. The ideal candidate must not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
At Home Downeast Administrative Assistant
A program of WHCA, At Home Downeast is a fast-growing, ever-changing member-based, volunteer supported organization designed to provide elder residents with essential services, empowering them to continue to live independently in their homes as they age.
Position responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant is a part-time, up to 24 hours per week position. Responsibilities include support coordination of services to members and volunteers; administrative support; information management; data management; and clerical functions for At Home Downeast. Position is part-time located in Blue Hill.
Qualifications: Detail oriented multi-tasker; ability to accurately enter data; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated by success in working with diverse population including elders; proficient in current Microsoft Office programs; excellent organizational skills; and flexibility in working hours, preferred Bachelor's Degree.
We are seeking part-time drivers to join its transportation operations in Hancock and Washington counties, including the Ellsworth/MDI/Blue Hill area. Candidate must have clean driving record, pass criminal and child protective background checks, meet drug and alcohol testing requirements, and not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
