WHCA staff will do an energy audit of your home using the house as a system approach, using the latest in high tech equipment, including an infrared camera and blower door.
We assess air leakage, the heating system, moisture problems, and health and safety issues. Weatherization improvements may include insulation, air sealing, moisture controls, and health and safety measures.
Requirements:
- Client must have a current LIHEAP fuel application and live in the home.
- Priority is given to households with senior citizens (over 60), children under two years of age or a person with a disability that makes them hypothermia- vulnerable.
- Priority is also given to households with the highest fuel consumption.
WHCA crews must be scheduled to be in your town which is on a rotating two year cycle.
