At Home Downeast Support for Aging in Place

Donate / Volunteer

Volunteers Count!

Personalized schedules and workloads will be created with your needs and desires in mind. One can volunteer in the At Home Downeast office, work on a phone tree, visit the member, transport the member, and deliver groceries and prescriptions in the van. One can work 1/2 day a month, one day a month, or every other week or weekly. Each volunteer will have a buddy to fill in scheduled time if illness or other responsibilities may arise.

We are looking for your skills and your passions. Can you read to an elderly blind person? Can you teach someone to use email and Skype their grandchildren? Can you drive a van and deliver groceries? What would you like to do to help your neighbors? And remember this could be a sort of insurance policy; support the organization now to help ensure it is there when you need it.

For further information, call Joan MacCracken at 326-0916 or Eric Chase 326-9694 or Gayle Clifford 326-8824.
