WHCA, Washington Hancock Community Agency

A message from Executive Director, Mark Green

Mark Green

WHCA's mission is to bring community resources together to help people in Washington and Hancock County achieve self-sufficiency and a better quality of life. We offer a variety of programs ranging from transportation assistance to elderly daycare to small business development. Just in the last year we have weatherized more than 150 homes; provided 170,000 rides to medical appointments, shopping and children's services; and taught 40 entrepreneurs how to write business plans.

We are a dynamic agency that is always looking for new ways that we can help our communities. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you think we can help.

It is the policy of Washington Hancock Community Agency that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religious belief, political affiliation or belief, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, physical or mental disability, veteran status, migrant worker, ex-offender, or former patient of a state institution be discriminated against in access to the services or provision of services of Washington Hancock Community Agency.

In a time when my faith in people was very low, WHCA showed me I could trust them. This I will never forget, 'cause WHCA in my book is the best."
